Areas of application

Terostat-8517H - accelerates adhesion to glass and fiberglass. It is indispensable for the application of 1 or 2-component adhesives, polyurethane-based primers and glass adhesives such as Terostat-8590, -8596, -8597, -8599 and others. Terostat-8517H is also used to improve adhesion to polyurethane, adhesives, primers for various painted surfaces, plastics and metals (a pre-test is recommended).

Application

The surface on which the product is to be applied must be dry, free of grease, dust, dirt and other particles that interfere with adhesion. Before applying Terostat-8517H, hold the pack for about 2 minutes. The product is ready for use when the steel balls inside move freely. To prevent sludge formation, the contents of the cartridge should be mixed prior to each application. Apply evenly with an applicator, brush or spray. The uneven application prolongs the polymerization time and leads to the formation of undesirable impurities in the solvent. Do not apply at the same place twice as the already dry primer is activated again, which adversely affects adhesion. Considering the fact that Terostat-8517H is a long-acting primer, there is no need to re-apply.
