Description:

Hard wax oil is a high-quality protective and decorative coating for all types of wood and wooden flooring in the interior, created on the basis of natural and renewable raw materials. It provides high mechanical, chemical and wear resistance, excellent scratch protection and antistatic effect, while forming strong and durable surfaces. The coating penetrates deep into the wood, regulates moisture and creates a water-repellent, transparent layer that emphasizes the natural structure and grain. It is suitable for the protection and maintenance of parquet, flooring, furniture, countertops, steps, railings, OSB boards, cork and other wooden surfaces.

Tinting in wood colors or according to NCS and RAL catalogs
Dry to powder at +23°C: 1 hour
Dry to touch at +23°C: 3-4 hours
Re-application at +23°C: 12 hours
Completely dry at +23°C: 24 hours
Completely hardened at +23°C: 3 days
Thinning: Apply without thinning.
Consumption: 70 g/m2 for 2 coats maximum
Application: With brush, roller, sponge or with a wood-rubbing machine.

PROPERTIES
Slight colour-enhancing effect, water-repellent and moisture-regulating. Low odour thanks to the use of odourless solvents. Transparent coating that highlights the grain and grain of the wood. Semi-matt finish, polishable, low yellowing. Meets the requirements of DIN EN 71-3 ("Safety of toys") according to Directive 2009/48/EC.

AREA OF APPLICATION
Designed for the protection and maintenance of wooden surfaces in interiors, such as parquet, flooring, tables, countertops, steps, railings, furniture, OSB boards, wooden elements and other types of surfaces. Also suitable for cork flooring.

DRYING
At a temperature of +23°C and 50% relative humidity (DIN 50014):
Dry to the touch: after 1 hour.
Dry to the touch: after 3-4 hours.
Re-application: after 12 hours.
Completely dry: after 24 hours.
Completely hardened: after 3 days.
Avoid contact with moisture for at least one week after application! Drying time may be extended depending on the type of wood. The dried surface can be polished with a brush or sander.

APPLICATION TOOLS
Brush, roller, sponge or with a wood rubbing machine.

SURFACE PREPARATION
Clean the wooden surfaces from dust and dirt. Sand the rough surface of the wood to a smooth and even base with P150/P180 sandpaper. For finer surfaces, use sandpaper up to P320 depending on the desired effect. Before application, the base must be sound, dry, clean and degreased.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Do not apply normal or clear varnish over Koranol Hartwachs-Öl. Surfaces treated with hard wax oil are easy to renovate. Remove dust and dirt, sand lightly if necessary and apply a new coat. Stir well before use. Apply with a soft brush or roller in the direction of the grain. Remove excess with a soft cloth. For highly absorbent woods, a second coat is possible, but you must wait at least 12 hours for the oil to dry. The completely dried surface can be treated with a polishing tool. For previously treated wood, make a test application. Use the oil without diluting or mixing with other products. The moisture content of the wood must not exceed 20%.
