The product can be applied on new or old surfaces, as long as they are clean and sound. Old paintings, if any, must be removed and surfaces must be dry and free from greasy and/or oily residues. The application cycle consists of ATF white coat applied in two coats and the decorative paint applied in one coat, when the base coat is dried. Firstly, apply one or better two coats of our ATF white coat, as it will allow the perfect subsequent application of the decorative paint. The first coat of ATF base coat can be diluted with water in a 20-25 weight percent; the second coat, if any, can be diluted with 15-20 weight percent and the dilution will vary depending on the absorption of the wall to be painted. With very smooth walls, the use of a proper base coat, called Fondo Speciale per Ori e Argenti is recommended. Such base coat will aid the perfect distribution on the wall of the decorative paint, thus facilitating the task of the painter. When the wall treated with the ATF white coat will be well dry, the application of the decorative paint can be performed by using the proper plastic grey float. If one desires to obtain the decoration named ANTICHE TERRE FIORENTINE MILLETONI in a single colour, only the Opaque base, additioned with the selected coloured toner homogeneously dispersed with a proper mixing in the right proportions, has to be placed on the plastic grey float, as shown in the catalogues. If one desires to obtain the decoration named ANTICHE TERRE FIORENTINE MILLETONI in two or more colours, aliquots (applied with a spatula) of Opaque bases, each one additioned with the selected coloured toner dispersed in the Opaque base as previously described, have to be placed on the plastic grey float. Then, the product can be applied.

If one desires to obtain the decoration named ANTICHE TERRE FIORENTINE PREZIOSI, aliquots (applied with a spatula) of Opaque bases additioned with the selected toner dispersed therein, and one aliquot (applied with a spatula) of Prezioso (Gold, Silver, Amethyst, Topaz, Aquamarine, Sapphire), depending on the selected colours, have to be placed on the plastic grey float. Then, the product cam be applied. In the ANTICHE TERRE FIORENTINE PREZIOSI decoration it is also possible to apply, when the paint is completely dry, one more coat using the plastic grey float with Preziosi alone, in the selected colour previously used. Such further layer, besides making the product glosser and more washable, will create a pleasant decoration by softening the contrasts and glamorizing the final appearance. Various different decorations can be obtained by painting with irregular and subsequent strokes until the grey plastic float is free of paint, then the treated surface will be smoothed out (with the grey plastic float) using a light pressure, in order to not remove the product already deposited and being careful to not use the float in a flat way on the surface, but using it edgewise, so as to form an angle between the surface and the grey plastic float. Then, the grey plastic float will be properly re-charged and a new portion of the wall (1-2 m2), close to the first one, will be painted by repeating the same procedure previously shown.
