Acrylic-based wood varnish for exterior MAT - Holzlasur

product_code:BSW 30

Description:

The lazure varnish is intended for the protection and decoration of exterior wooden surfaces, and is particularly suitable for softwood. It forms a transparent, weather-resistant coating that protects the wood from UV rays, rain and fading, while reducing moisture absorption and regulating the moisture in the material. The coating limits the appearance of blue stains and mold, ensures minimal lifting of the wood fibers and preserves the natural appearance of the wood for long-lasting protection.

PROPERTIES
Weather-resistant, transparent, moisture-regulating, minimal lifting of wood fibers. The top coat protects the wood from blue stain and mold.

AREA OF APPLICATION
Lazure varnish for the protection and decoration of exterior wooden surfaces. Suitable for softwood.

DRYING
At a temperature of +23°C, 50% relative humidity (DIN 50014) and wood such as pine or spruce:
Dust dry: after 3 hours.
Ready for reapplication: after 8 hours.
Under adverse conditions (e.g. high humidity, low temperature, poor ventilation) the drying time can be significantly extended. Drying can be extended depending on the type of wood.
Optimal application and drying temperature: from +15°C to +30°C.
Minimum drying temperature: +5°C.

APPLICATION TOOLS
Brush or roller.

SURFACE PREPARATION
Clean the wooden surface from dust and grease. Untreated wooden surfaces should be sanded with P80/P120 sandpaper for better absorption. The surface does not need to be primed against blue stain if it is structurally protected from moisture (canopy, elements with a slope or distance from the ground). Pre-treating the wooden surface with Koralan Imprägnier-Grund (colorless impregnating primer) increases the durability and adhesion of subsequent coatings, especially on highly absorbent substrates. The impregnating primer ensures an even coating and a transparent decorative layer on the wood.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
A test application is recommended to avoid color differences. The shade may vary depending on the type of wood, the amount and the method of application. Observe the drying time between coats. Products from the same batch should be used on the same wooden surface.
