Application Surfaces

It is a primer that is used to protect all types of metal surfaces inside and outside of rust. It is used to prevent corrosion on various metal structures, industrial equipment, machinery and parts, bridges, stairs and rails.

Consumption

About 12-14 m²/liter. for one layer depending on the application surface. Number of layers to be applied: 2 layers depending on the surface.

Application

If the metal surface is to be primed, dirt and grease should be cleaned with Betek Synthetic Thinner, wrung well and then apply the Alkyd Gray Primer. Metal surfaces that are already painted and which have rust should be cleaned with a wire brush or wrung out until the surface is cleaned and the powder should be degreased with Betek Synthetic Thinner. Alkyd gray primer can be applied either with a synthetic paint brush or by spraying. Although the product dries quickly and has good coverage, it is recommended to apply 2 layers of more active protection to it. A wait of 18 hours between the two layers is recommended. Before applying the damp paint on it, it is advisable to take 24 hours. The temperature of the atmosphere and the surface during application should be between 5 ° C and 30 ° C.

Drying time

Touch drying: 2-3 hours. Final drying: 24 hours.

Dilution

Dilute with 5-10% Betek Synthetic Thinner to achieve the required brush or roller application consistency and 10-20% thinner for spraying.
